In 2020, FlexOffers became an all-remote company. While team members have enjoyed benefits associated with working remotely, we’ve all been anxiously awaiting an opportunity to come together one more time. With Halloween Horror Nights on the horizon, combined with FlexOffers CEO Alex Daskaloff’s affinity for Fright Night adventures, Nallely Ponce (Director of Human Resources) decided that now was the right time for some good old-fashioned team bonding.
“Many of our team members are really into Halloween,” Nallely said. “It was the perfect opportunity to continue building upon departmental and interdepartmental synergy at the precipice of our biggest quarter of the year.” While we are in the midst of our biggest quarter of the year, our team was able to let their hair down and have some fun for a weekend. In hindsight, it appears as though a Halloween Horror Nights ticket was exactly what the doctor ordered.

FlexOffers Touches Down at Margaritaville Orlando
Included in our trip to Halloween Horror Nights was a stay at the Margaritaville Resort in Orlando. Each bungalow was outfitted in island décor and filled with snacks, beverages, home goods, and essentials that made us all feel right at home. “The cottages were really modern, clean, and they were equipped with all the comforts of home,” said creative writer Alexandra Moreno. “The rooms were really spacious, and we all had access to a full kitchen, washer and dryer, and swimming pool!”
Black, White, & Blue for Halloween Horror Nights 2022
Our team exemplifies closeness and stellar communication in our daily pursuit to become the best affiliate network in the world. With that said, it was apropos that each room featured a welcome kit containing an itinerary and a FlexOffers shirt made for team members and their plus-one. Collectively donning FlexOffers’ black, white, and blue for Halloween Horror Nights 2022 was a mere extension of the harmony that exists within our everyday operation.
Teamwork
Staying with the theme of team, our entire group, led by CEO Alex Daskaloff went courageously into the night to experience all 10 haunted houses. Our excursion was somewhat expedited thanks to express passes purchased alongside our park passes, courtesy of FlexOffers. The express passes placed team members and accompanying plus-ones near the front of the line for all Halloween horror nights houses and rides. We used one another as crutches to safely navigate scare zones in each of the haunted houses but according to data entry specialist Mathew Walcott, there were other benefits related to sticking together as a team.
“Spending that much time together allowed us to connect with one another on a professional and personal level. It also ensured that everyone remained safe while visiting every haunted house Halloween Horror Nights had to offer.”
The Weeknd Nightmare House
While each of the houses were fun in their own way, there was one that stood head and shoulders above the others, and that was The Weeknd Halloween Horror Nights Nightmare house. The “Blinding Lights” star afforded Halloweeners and music fans alike a glimpse into the innerworkings of his “Twisted Mind.” Whether you’re a longtime listener or a newcomer to The Weeknd’s music, all visitors will assuredly enjoy a deeply engaging experience that seamlessly blends Fright Night fun and culture.
Creative designer Lina Alfonso, who is also a fan of the Weeknd’s discography thoroughly enjoyed The Weeknd Halloween Horror Nights Nightmare house. “I really liked the mix of the weekend’s music in the background, “Blinding Lights,” and obviously the scare zones,” Lina said. “The songs seemed to sync up perfectly with each section of the haunted house, which was somewhat unsettling, yet oddly satisfying.”
That’s All Folks
Halloween Horror Nights 2022 culminated in a farewell breakfast gathering at the lovely Euphoria Fish House, located in the Margaritaville lobby. The Breakfast provided our team an opportunity to refuel and reflect on the 10 haunted houses we bravely traversed the night before. Assembling in this fashion for the final sendoff also enabled us to collaborate with thought leaders within our organization. While we were seated, there were several exchanges that resulted in ideas and strategies certified to help us achieve the results we covet during the fourth quarter and beyond.
